In July 2016, I graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at the Windesheim Honours College in the Netherlands with a specialization in Global Change and Project Management. During an internship in Cambodia I develped my passion for bamboo as I recognized its vast potential for the circular and blue economy.
After I graduated I joined the International Bamboo and Rattan Organization (INBAR) in the department of Global Programme Development in Beijing, China. To deepen my knowledge in forestry I began studying Tropical Forestry (graduate school) in Germany and transitioned to a MSc in Sustainability Science and Policy in the Netherlands. Since I am very passion about bamboo and believe in its potential for our shared sustainability vision (Agenda 2030+), I focused my Master thesis on the potential of bamboo in the German market by comparing it to the timber dominated market.
Now that I graduated, I will move to Indonensia where I will be a trainee in the EU diplomatic mission to Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam. During the weeks I will be learning a lot about environmental policies and climate change und during the weekends about bamboo of course 🙂
